Found People Find People | Episode 2

Jeremy Brown : Lead Pastor

Anyone who chooses to put the needs of others before their own!  Is, BY ANY DEFINITION, a HERO!

Heroes have 1 thing in common:

They experienced something that other people need and DECIDED THAT sharing it is worth the risk!

DANIEL LIVED A HEROES LIFE!

When he was 18, he

Was faithful to God

Wouldn’t bow down

Was committed to worshipping god

Was saying "God, I trust you!"

When he was 80

Was faithful to God

Wouldn’t bow down

Was committed to worshipping god

Was saying "God, I trust you!"

Daniel experienced something with God that required his faithfulness over his comfort!

A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home. They gathered in such large numbers that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them.

Mark 2:1-2

Heroes don't stop because there are obstacles! There are ALWAYS OBSTACLES!

Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them.

Mark 2:3

Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on.

Mark 2:4

Their eyes were firmly fixed on the needs of their friend and the hope that only Jesus could provide!

When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”

Mark 2:5

"Everyone thinks it's a full-time job. Wake up a hero. Brush your teeth a hero. Go to work a hero. Not true! Over a lifetime, there are only four or five moments that really matter. Moments when you're offered a choice - to make a sacrifice, conquer a flaw, save a friend, spare an enemy. In these moments, everything else falls away."

Colossus

“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death — even death on a cross!”

Paul
